According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, table games at Pennsylvania casinos could be legalized soon. All that needs to be ironed out is how much the casinos will pay to the state. One proposal has the casinos paying a $15 million fee upfront and 18% of revenues. Another has them paying $10 million upfront and 12% of revenues. Casino operators have said that the games could be up and running as soon as next April if the legislature approves. As many as 10,000 new jobs will be created statewide when the table games are approved.

Pro Football Betting
in Delaware
Here’s an interesting article about the first day of legalized betting on pro football in Delaware. I don’t anticipate anything like this ever happening in Ohio.
The field is set for this Saturday’s Woodward Stakes at Saratoga. Seven boys and one tough girl will go 1-1/8 miles for a $750,000 purse.
A lot has been mentioned about Rachel Alexandra running against and beating the boys but take note of what she’s up against in this race. No 3 year-old filly has ever beaten older males in a Grade I distance race on dirt in the modern era. Former winners of the Woodward include Forego (four times), Kelso (three times), Seattle Slew, Affirmed, Spectacular Bid, Cigar (twice), and Curlin.
