2017 Pool Rules
PRO FOOTBALL POOLS RULES
The Pro Football Pools will begin with the 1st week of the NFL regular season and run for 17 weeks through the end of the regular season.
All regular season games will be included EXCEPT THURSDAY GAMES.
All picks are AGAINST THE POSTED POINT SPREAD.
Players assign each pick a confidence number from 1 up to the number of games for that week.
The confidence number is awarded for each correct pick.
Tie scores (including the spread) will be considered a loss - no points awarded.
Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and last players with the most (least) confidence points for each week.
$20 will be paid to 2nd place, $10 to last place and the remaining amount of the weekly prize will go to 1st place.
NOTE: The payout for last place has been suspended for the 2017 season.
The cost is $3 per week.  $2 of this amount will go towards the weekly prize and the remaining $1 will go into the season prize kitty.
For example, if 50 people play in week #1 ($150 total), there would be $70 for the winner and $20 for 2nd place and $10 for last place weekly prizes and the remaining $50 would go into the season prize kitty.  The season prize kitty will accumulate for 17 weeks and the total will be awarded to the players with the highest cumulative (season) score.  Based on recent years, about $600 will go to the season winner, about $300 to the 2nd place finisher, about $150 to 3rd place and about $75 to 4th place.  5th through 10th places will receive about $50 each.
Prizes and the number of winners will be adjusted according to the number of players.

SURVIVOR POOL RULES (PRO AND COLLEGE)
The Survivor Pools will begin with week #1 and run until all players except one are eliminated.
The object of this pool is to pick ONE GAME AGAINST THE POINT SPREAD each week.
Players who pick correctly will advance to the next week and make another pick.  This continues until one player is left.
IN THE COLLEGE SURVIVOR, PLAYERS CAN PICK A TEAM MORE THAN ONCE.
IN THE PRO SURVIVOR, PLAYERS CANNOT PICK A TEAM MORE THAN ONCE.
ALL TIES AGAINST THE SPREAD ARE CONSIDERED LOSERS IN THESE POOLS.

The cost is $5 to be paid at the beginning of each pool and you play until you lose.
When each Survivor Pool ends, another will begin the following week with another $5 entry fee required.
NOTE: These pools may be split when there are no more than 3 (pro) and 2 (college) players left.

PERFECT 10 AND COLLEGE 10 POOL RULES
These pools involve picking the winners of 10 games each week.  The cost is $3 per week.
POINT SPREADS ARE NOT USED IN THESE POOLS.  Tie scores will be considered a win.
If no player picks all 10 games correctly, the player picking the most games correctly will win $1 for every player in the pool.
The tie breaker will be used to break ties in this case.
The remaining $2 per player will carry over to the following week and keep carrying over until someone picks all 10 games correctly.
If more than 1 player picks all 10 games, the pot will be split among them.
If the season ends without a player picking all 10 games, the player or players who score the most wins over the duration of the pool will win.
If there is a tie when the season ends, these players will split.
After the first week of each new pool, no new players will be allowed to enter until another new pool begins.
Players forfeit any money paid in if they drop out or fail to make weekly picks.
Prizes and the number of winners will be determined by the number of players entered.
